The Hole Marker is a precision marking tool designed to help you accurately mark the center point for drilling—especially when used alongside accessories like the joist adapter, double joist adapter, or radiator valve.

Simply activate the laser, and it will project a perfectly straight reference line, making it easy to line up your drill hole with pinpoint accuracy. Whether you’re running pipework, cabling, or any other service through joists, this tool ensures everything lines up cleanly and professionally.

Using the Joist & Radiator Laser Marker

This laser marking tool helps you drill holes, run pipes or cables, and install sockets or radiators with perfect alignment. It saves time, reduces guesswork, and ensures a neat, professional finish.

1. Marking on Single Joists

Position the Joist Adapter

  • Choose where you want to run your pipe or cable along the joist.
  • Fix the joist adapter in place using a screw or a nail. Make sure it’s secure so it doesn’t move.

Attach the Laser

  • Turn on the laser light and clip or slide it into the joist adapter.
  • The laser will project a bright dot onto the wood.

Drill the First Hole – Drill directly where the dot is. This gives you your starting point.

Align the Next Holes

  • After drilling, the laser beam will shine through the hole onto the next joist or surface.
  • Drill where the beam lands. Repeat this process for each joist so your holes stay perfectly in line.

Tip: This method keeps pipe runs or cables looking tidy and makes them easier to clip or secure later.

2. Marking on Double Joists

  • Same principle as above, but with a double joist adapter designed to span the extra width.
  • Level the adapter using a small spirit level before fixing it with screws or nails.
  • Turn on both lasers, this gives you two perfectly aligned points for marking or drilling.
  • This setup is ideal for parallel holes that need to match exactly on two joists.

3. Radiator Installation

  • Level the Radiator Valve – Set your radiator valve in the exact position it needs to be—level and centred.
  • Attach the Laser – Turn on the laser and connect it to the valve.
  • Mark Your Line – The laser will project a dead-straight line on the wall or floor, showing exactly where to drill or fix brackets.

Benefit: Ensures pipework lines up perfectly with the radiator, avoiding awkward angles or rework.

4. Locating the Opposite Side or on Ceilings (Sockets, Switches, Appliances)

Useful for electricians, plumbers, or DIYers wanting something directly opposite an existing fitting.

  • Use the magnet on the back of the laser to attach it to an already-drilled hole or fixing point.
  • The laser will shine straight through, marking the matching point on the opposite wall or stud or ceiling.
  • Drill at that point for perfect alignment.

Example: Adding a double socket on both sides of a stud wall with exact symmetry.

5. Range & Accuracy

  • The laser has been tested up to 15 metres and remains accurate over that distance.
  • Works in both bright and low-light conditions, but it’s easiest to see the beam in shaded or indoor areas.

Extra Tips for Best Results Check level before drilling – even the best laser won’t help if your adapter is slanted.
